Oregon Trip was a Trip

So one of the things that has been on my bucket list since forever is visiting Voodoo Doughnuts in Oregon.....

I can now die happy ladies and gentlemen because I SO went there and I SO bought SO many doughnuts and got SO CHUBBS and SO happy.

...you get the gist. :P. But I also visited Oregon to visit family and did a little sightseeing as well. I even stumbled upon Powell's Bookstore (the biggest bookstore in the world!). I was so fun! I was only there for a couple of days so now that I've got a little taste I want more. I can't wait to go again.

A doodle I drew on the way back to my homestate California.

Tailored to You Polyvore Meetup

Nobody throws a better party than POLYVORE! This last November I went to POLYVORE's Tailored to You event. It totally lived up to it's name. With goodie bags filled with treats from brands such as Modcloth, TheRealReal, Iristocracy, Nasty Gal and Bare Minerals and cool stations to make your own tees and such I was overwhelmed with excitement. Take a look at the photos and check out the facets of fun!

I met a lifelong friend (Christine) AND Polyvore's CEO Jess Lee (left).

Head on over to Polyvore's blog to read more!

Alquimia by Mariza Sanchez

While attending UC San Diego in 2011 I completed my undergraduate honors thesis on bi-national artist Mariza Sanchez. I had gotten nominated for honors and was looking for a subject for my honors thesis. One day when I was going renew my apartment lease I saw that my landlord (Sanchez) had the most incredible abstract painting behind her. When I asked where she acquired it she informed me she painted it herself! Flash forward to 2014 and we are still lifelong friends.

She recently invited me to do a lecture on the connection between Psychologist Carl Jung and her art at the San Diego Repertory Theater. I of course said HECK YES! Here are some photos from the show for your viewing pleasure. <3.
